W. J. Howard is the author of the award winning novel, The Courier, a Twitter novel series. She writes a mix of fantasy, horror and paranormal, with a bit of comedy thrown in. Recently she has begun writing the vampire serial novel, Bloodleggers, on Blood Reads eZine with her long time buddy R.J. Robyn.
Barry has just lost his fourth jobs in the past year. Desperate for employment, he accepts the first position he’s offered over the phone, driver for OTG Courier Services. Shortly after meeting his new boss, a tiny yet fiery old lady named Margery, she coerces him into signing an questionable employment contract he soon regrets.

FBI Agent William Knox is sent to Denver to investigate a rash of missing persons. There he meets indentured vampire, Regina Todd, working for a bloodlegger to pay off her father’s gambling debts. They soon discover that thirty years prior, vampire elders imposed a prohibition on pure human blood to control the vampire population and avoid exposure to evolving crime scene investigation techniques. As a result, William and Regina must put their lives on the line to unravel a dark maze of crime syndicates and secret blood running that threatens both vampire and humankind.

LOL, although you could take a sledgehammer to some’s head and get nearly the same effect on a wall or floor as a Jackson Pollock. I wonder if that would qualify as a cross between the two.

my first impression of splatterpunk was fiction influenced by Jackson Pollock. thats why first impressions are usually wrong…
