Book Review: Boo! by Robert Munsch

Today’s review is BOO! by Robert Munsch, a fun book I fell in love with in the first few pages. Here’s what it’s about:

Best- selling team Robert Munsch and Michael Martchenko create another funny adventure about a boy named Lance, who finds an inventive way of getting more candy on Halloween.

Lance loves dressing up for Halloween. This year, instead of wearing a store-bought mask, he paints his face very, very scary. When Lance goes trick-or-treating, his scary face spooks his neighbors so much that they fall over–leaving him all their candy! Lance uses his horrid face to steal more candy than he can carry. But in the end, he he has so much candy that he decides to share with his neighbors.

I laughed right away when I read this one, and by the end I wanted to buy the book. Lance is a fun and silly character who just can’t get enough candy, but don’t we all wish we could get an endless bag of candy on Halloween. I loved that he created the MOST scary face of all, and his last scare is the best.

Lastly, I’d like to mention that Michael Martchenko did an excellent job on the illustrations.

READ THIS BOOK! I rate it 5 out of 5 Scary Pumpkins
