Book Review: Curious George Goes to a Costume Party by Margret & H.A. Rey

Today’s Halloween book review is Gurious George Goes to a Costume Party by Margret & H.A. Rey. Here’s what it’s about:

George and the man with the yellow hat arrive at a Halloween party—but they aren’t wearing costumes. No matter—there are plenty in an old trunk upstairs, and soon George is trying on all kinds of outfits. But when he wants to look in the mirror, George finds he has to jump on the bed. Downstairs, the partygoers begin to hear noises. Then the lights go out and they hear a crash! Uh-oh. Did someone say the word ghost?

I loved Curious George books as a kid and they still hold up today. George is always getting in trouble and the books never fail to make me laugh. This book introduces George to Halloween and costumes. He getting in a lot of trouble and scares everyone. In the end they find out it’s George and everyone is laughing. A perfect read for beginner. This is one of my favorite Curious George books.

My Rating: 5 out of 5
