Movie Review: Gangsters, Guns & Zombies

gangstersgunszombiesThings are changing in 2014 for me, including more attention to my blog. So, once again, back to Tuesday zombie movie reviews. This week’s zombie movie is one that’s I recorded off the TV on the Chiller channel at least three months ago. Finally watched it yesterday. Here’s what it’s about:

The whole “zombie thing” has been hyped up so much that everyone thinks it’s the end of the world! Of course, where one man sees the dead rising from the grave, another sees opportunity. Q had a plan: drive the robbery getaway van, deliver everyone to the safe house and get paid – a nice, simple, plan. Unfortunately, life is never really that simple, and to top it all off, this is the first time Q has been a getaway driver… -IMDB

Well, it started good enough but fizzled out half way through. The movie got a little too involved with the human characters in a way that just wasn’t that interesting. Doesn’t mean I hated it though. The acting was good (compared to most low budget zombie films) and I liked the characters, especially, Grandma. She ends the movie with a bang. Scenes and camera shots were done well and filmed with better planning than most low budget films. More effort could have been put into zombie make up. This movie has a 3.8 out of 10 rating on IMDB, but I think people should lighten up a bit.

My Rating: 3 out of 5 Bloody Brains
